Nounou
Creative Director Jae Huh and artist Jean Jullien spent years collaborating and exchanging ideas while based in London. In 2016, before returning to Korea, Jae proposed a collaboration between his brand, Stereo Vinyls, and Jean Jullien.
The project began with a simple question: What would a Korean brand look like through the eyes of a Korean's French friend? The result was Nounou — a character inspired by Jean Jullien's illustrations, capturing a wide range of emotions and everyday moments.
Before parting ways in London, Jae and Jean agreed that their collaboration should evolve into a brand rooted in Seoul rather than end as a single project. The name Nounou combines “Nou”, inspired by Lou, the name of Jae's daughter and Jean's son, with “Nous”, the French word for “us.” Since then, the name has naturally become known simply as Nounou.
